Biography

Isabella A. Buagbe is a participant of the Summer Literacy Training Program '98. She is a Ghanaian and works in the Non-Formal Education Division (NFED) within the Ministry of Education, Ghana.

Isabella is the acting director of field operations in NFED. Before joining NFED she taught mathematics for over twenty-five years in various secondary schools, including St. Rose's, OLA Girl's and St. Thomas Aquinas secondary school, where she was for twenty years.

Isabella attended one of the most prestigious schools in Ghana called Achimota . It is the school for first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the current President J.J. Rawlings. After secondary school Isabella trained as a teacher and later specialized in mathematics in a specialist institution. She later went to the University of Ghana where she earned a diploma in statistics. She is married with four children, two girls and two boys. Their names are Solace, Therese, Bernard and Anthony.
